How to make a Levitating Orb
Question:
How is it possible that the PVC pipe can make a tinsel orb float in the air?
Hypothesis:
- Our hypothesis is that the experiment is all about static charges. That similar static charges repel away from each other. The pipe and the tinsel orb are both negative charges. Therefore, when the orb touches the pipe it will float away.

The Science behind it
The phenomena that will take place is that at first the tinsel orb is attracted to the PVC pipe because the orb has a positive charge. But as soon as the orb touches the pipe it picks up a negative charge. Since the pipe is negative and the tinsel orb is now negative, they will repel away from each other and the orb begins to levitate.
Conclusions
In conclusion, our hypothesis was correct. The levitating orb floated in the air once it touched the PVC pip because of the negative static charge on both, the pipe and orb.
