Tusker Gel
Question: Which one (sugar or salt) will change solid gel into liquid gel?
Hypothesis: We predict salt will change the solid gel into a liquid gel because the salt will have an effect on the h2o in water, which is the base of gel.
Procedure:
Special Needs: We need to be by a water source |

The Science behind it
The chemicals in the carbopol thicken the water with its pH and connect it to make a chain with the hydrogen and oxygen in water. The chain creates density. The baking soda goes into that just to neutralize the pH. The salt goes into that chain to break the chain making the density level drop from a lot to nothing, creating a liquid. The sugar has no affect because of the ingredients in it (sugar grain, carbohydrates, etc.).

Conclusions: In conclusion, our hypothesis was mostly correct. The salt changed the gel from a solid into a liquid, not the sugar. The molecules in salt had the effect with the h2o not necessarily the grain of salt itself.
