Liquid Color Boom

Question:How does whole milk, Sprite and water react when you add soap and food coloring ?

Hypothesis: We think that the biggest reaction will be from the milk based on what its made of.

Materials: 

• Whole milk
• Water
• Sprite
• Food coloring
• Dawn dish soap
• Dishes
• Q-tips

Safety Procedures

Material:Plastic gloves

Procedure:

1. Pour liquid in dishes
2. Add drop of food coloring in each corner of dish
3. Dip Q-tipp in soap and put in liquid

Special Needs:

Should be near water

The Science behind it

This is caused because milk is mostly water and some fat. The sprite has a lot of fat which makes the colors really move around. The water mostly does nothing but with a little movement because there's not any fat

Conclusions

Overall we think that they all had some sort of a reaction but the milk is the biggest reaction
