The Science behind it
Our project is about finger prints. A fingerprint is a narrow impression left by friction ridges of a human finger. Fingerprints usually form 10-15 weeks. Fingerprints are used for identifying people. There are 3 different types of fingerprints one is a Arch, another is a Loop and the last one is a Whorl. There are 4 different types of arch patterns , 2 different types of loops and 4 types of whorl. A arch is found 5% of fingerprints encountered, they are formed when the Volar pad is nearly absorbed, then the finger will develop a arch pattern. A loop is found in 60-70% of fingerprints encountered, loops are formed by if primary ridges appear while the volar pad is less pronounced then it will develop a loop. A whorl is seen about 25-35% fingerprints encountered. They can be formed by if the primary ridges appear while the volar pad is still quite pronounced. Most fingerprints you get are, inherited from family members but their child's fingerprints are going to be different, from their parents.
Conclusions
In conclusion we accept our hypothesis because our hypothesis was right. We noticed when we were looking at our fingerprints and we saw that our right and left thumb print were different from each other, but they were similar. They were similar because they were the same type but different kinds of loops, arch and whorls. They were different because they had different lines and shapes also the types of fingerprints were in different spots.
